Softball Recap: Swan Valley Sets Scoring Season-High Against Bridgeport

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Swan Valley). They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Bridgeport Bearcats on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Bearcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Izzy Coffel was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in April. Hailey Koch was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Swan Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matches.

Swan Valley's record is now 8-6. As for Bridgeport, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Swan Valley will take on Frankenmuth at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bridgeport, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Mayville at 4:00 p.m.
