Basketball Game Preview: Highland Rams vs. Madison Bobcats

Highland hasn't had much luck against Madison recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Highland Rams will take on the Madison Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Highland was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to Century. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Madison waltzed into their game on Wednesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They walked away with a 71-58 win over the Riverhawks. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while the Riverhawks are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Madison's victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Highland, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Highland came up short against Madison in their previous meeting back in January, falling 53-40. Can Highland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
