Basketball Recap: Greater Vision Academy Comes Up Short

Greater Vision Academy lost against Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Greater Vision Academy Lions took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy Eagles. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Greater Vision Academy still got an impressive performance from Ramael Warren, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. Warren continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Amari King was another key player, putting up 13 points along with seven boards and three steals.

Kaden Patterson was his usual excellent self, posting 25 points for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy. That makes it five consecutive games in which Patterson has scored at least a third of Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Tristan Caulk, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and three steals.

Greater Vision Academy's record now sits at 5-10. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-14 record this season.

Greater Vision Academy will take on South Wake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greater Vision Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season. As for Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy, they will face off against Gray Stone Day at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy has four straight victories, Gray Stone Day has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
