Basketball Game Preview: Beechwood Tigers vs. Holy Cross Indians

Beechwood hasn't had much luck against Holy Cross recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Beechwood Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Holy Cross Indians at 7:30 p.m.

Beechwood is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 27th on Thursday. They were outmatched by Highlands and fell 63-35. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 168th, while the Bluebirds are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Holy Cross, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past Scott 62-36 on Friday. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Beechwood's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Holy Cross, they pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Beechwood was dealt a bruising 75-21 defeat at the hands of Holy Cross in their previous matchup back in January. Can Beechwood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
