Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Johnson). They enjoyed a cozy 69-54 victory over the Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets on Tuesday. With that win, the Atomsmashers brought their scoring average up to 51.4 points per game.

Johnson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Quentin James, who went 8-for-16 on his way to 21 points and five assists. The game was James' third in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maurice Knight Jr., who shot 50% from the field en route to 24 points.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Johnson was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've passed the ball that well.

Johnson has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points over those games. As for Southeast Bulloch, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Coming up, Johnson will take on Veterans in a tournament on Friday. The Atomsmashers will be up against the Warhawks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 58.82 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Southeast Bulloch, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Statesboro at 6:30 p.m. on the 27th. The Yellow Jackets will be up against the Blue Devils' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
