With a playoff win on the line, Making Waves Academy rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Stuart Hall Knights. Winning may never get old, but the Marlins sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Making Waves Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-22.

Henry Alfaro paced Making Waves Academy's offense, picking up 24 kills. Alfaro got some help from Angel Saravia Garrido and his 48 assists. Finally, Vicente Toledo kept Making Waves Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Making Waves Academy's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Stuart Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Making Waves Academy will be playing at home against Emerald at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stuart Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
