Carrollton had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Casey-Westfield Warriors by a score of 6-3 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Hawks, who have now won seven games in a row.

Lauren Flowers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hannah Uhles was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Megan Camden, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Carrollton hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Casey-Westfield struck out eight times.

Carrollton's record is now 37-1. As for Casey-Westfield, they moved to 34-4 with that defeat, which also ended their 15-game winning streak.
