The Mays Raiders will venture away from home to challenge the Creekside Seminoles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mays is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Mays will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one point last Friday, then bounced right back against Carrollton on Saturday. Mays came out on top against Carrollton by a score of 76-65. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Trojans are ranked 407th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Germani Wilson, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 21 rebounds. He has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Davenport Cox, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, Creekside was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap two weeks ago as they fell 64-60 to Kendrick.
Despite the defeat, Creekside saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Daylen Jones went 11 of 27 on his way to 25 points. That was a full 41.7% of Creekside's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Billingslea, who put up nine points and six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Creekside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in four consecutive contests.
Mays is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Creekside, their loss dropped their record down to 2-12.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Mays has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Creekside struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Mays took their victory against Creekside in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a conclusive 81-57. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Creekside's Amadou Onyia, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 25 points. Now that he won't be playing on Tuesday, will it be easier for Mays to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
