Basketball Recap: Everman Comes Up Short

If Everman was riding high fresh off their 45-25 takedown of Seguin last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Everman Bulldogs took a hard 47-31 fall against the Mansfield Timberview Wolves on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 408th, while the Wolves are ranked 171st).

Mansfield Timberview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Viola Tadja led the charge by going 5 of 6 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Dani Milliner, who posted 15 points.

Everman's defeat dropped their record down to 14-12. As for Mansfield Timberview, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Everman will challenge Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mansfield Timberview, they will square off against Cleburne at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
