Baseball Recap: Roger Bacon Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

The Roger Bacon Spartans made easy work of the Mariemont Warriors on Thursday and carried off a 16-2 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

The team relied heavily on Kyle Miller, who went 2-for-4 with six RBI, two triples, and one run. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Rosenfeldt, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Roger Bacon pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mariemont, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roger Bacon will host Reading at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mariemont, they will be playing at home against Madeira at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
