Newman Smith entered their tilt with Adams on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 50-35 win over the Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Newman Smith's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Adams, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Newman Smith will take on Episcopal School of Dallas in a tournament on Thursday. As for Adams, they will head out to challenge North Dallas at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
