Softball Recap: Morristown Comes Up Short

If Morristown was riding high fresh off their 17-3 takedown of Waldron on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellow Jackets came up short against the Hauser Jets on Monday, falling 13-1. The Yellow Jackets were not able to make up for their loss to the Jets from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Morristown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Cox, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Morristown has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Hauser, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Coming up, Hauser will face off against Waldron at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Jets are facing the Mohawks at the right time seeing as the Mohawks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. Morristown will be paying especially close attention to Hauser's contest: after Hauser faces off against Waldron, they'll take on Morristown again at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
