Soccer Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds vs. East Forsyth

R.J. Reynolds is 1-8-1 against East Forsyth since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Demons will look to defend their home pitch against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

R.J. Reynolds' defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Reagan. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, East Forsyth entered their tilt with Reagan on Wednesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Raiders. Given East Forsyth's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Reagan are ranked 232nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

East Forsyth hit Reagan with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Emma Owens (2), Kaya Adams, and Mylie Lockwood.

East Forsyth's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those three matchups. As for R.J. Reynolds, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-3.
