The Peru Nighthawks will face off against the Plattsburgh Hornets at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Peru is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

Peru's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against AuSable Valley as they made off with a 6-0 victory. Peru's winning goal came courtesy of Ryan Campbell.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Plattsburgh was not quite Peru's equal in the second half back in September. They fell 4-2 to the Nighthawks. Plattsburgh have struggled against Peru recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

The win made it two in a row for Peru and bumps their season record up to 7-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those two matches. As for Plattsburgh, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Peru beat Plattsburgh 4-2 when the teams last played back in September. Will the Nighthawks repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
