Basketball Recap: Ridgevue Falls to Canyon Ridge in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Ridgevue kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 70-64 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Ridge Riverhawks. The Warhawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Riverhawks apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Ridgevue had strong showings from Brock Bastian, who posted 17 points, and Kaimana Nielson, who put up 11 points.

Brady Harrison was the offensive standout of the game as he had 11 points and seven rebounds. Brenner Kunz was another key player, putting up five assists.

Looking ahead, Ridgevue will take on Skyview at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Canyon Ridge, they will face off against Jerome at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
