Volleyball Recap: Campble Brown Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Frontier

Lafayette Central Catholic not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 10, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Frontier Falcons. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-7.

Lafayette Central Catholic's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Campble Brown led the charge by getting six digs and three aces. Those six digs gave Brown a new career-high. Vivian Parlon also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Lafayette Central Catholic was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They are 2-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Lafayette Central Catholic back to even at 4-4. As for Frontier, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

Lafayette Central Catholic will head out to challenge Lafayette Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frontier, they will welcome Delphi Community at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
