McIntosh had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over the Fayette County Tigers. The Chiefs not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since August 16, 2024 (when they won 56-0).

Elijah Strader went supernova, throwing for 149 yards and four TDs, while also rushing for 65 yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (131.7). Brandan Ridley did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 44 receiving yards.

McIntosh and Fayette County could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Chiefs (ranked 234th) will meet Sandy Creek (ranked 30th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fayette County will take on Warner Robins at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (374 vs. 62).
