Coastal Christian took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Orcutt Academy, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Coastal Christian Conquerors had just enough and edged out the Orcutt Academy Spartans 9-7. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Coastal Christian now has a winning record of 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coastal Christian will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Bishop Diego at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Diego will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Coastal Christian surely won't give up without a fight. As for Orcutt Academy, they will face off against Cabrillo at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games Orcutt Academy has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
