Basketball Recap: Waukesha South Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Waukesha South lost to Arrowhead back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Waukesha South Blackshirts secured a 63-57 W over the Arrowhead Warhawks. The Blackshirts' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Waukesha South had a senior duo take command as Yovani Perea almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds and Zayus Dewalt posted 23 points along with five assists and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perea has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Max Henes, who earned five points.

Waukesha South's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-6. As for Arrowhead, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Oconomowoc the next time they take the court. Waukesha South will host Oconomowoc at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Arrowhead will host them at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
