Preview: Coronado vs. Liberty

Liberty will challenge Coronado on the road at 6:00 PM on Thursday. The teams both have had a rocky road up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Liberty and four for Coronado.

Liberty fought the good fight in their overtime contest last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell to Widefield 14-21. Liberty got a solid performance out of junior Malachi Salus, who picked up 93 yards on the ground and caught passes for 113 yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory. One of the most memorable plays of the game was Salus's 75-yard touchdown rush in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 7-42, which was the final score in Coronado's tilt against Rampart. Coronado were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.

With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. Find out which team's record gets a tune-up and which team falls into a funk by watching the game and checking back on MaxPreps for the full scoop.
