The Ellington Knights will challenge the Sacred Heart Academy Sharks at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Ellington is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They put the hurt on Wolcott with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sacred Heart Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past Lakeview 3-0 on Tuesday.

While Sacred Heart Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-22, 25-16.

Ellington better focus on containing Bella Spinato and JJ Kirck as the pair were huge in Sacred Heart Academy's win. Spinato had seven digs and two aces, while Kirck had 13 digs and two aces. Spinato is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 25 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

The win got Ellington back to even at 5-5. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 19-2.
