Softball Recap: Walled Lake Central Wins Going Away Against Kettering

Walled Lake Central never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Kettering Captains with a sharp 15-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Captains: they've now won three in a row.

Katelynn Cole made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jessica Fick, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Kayla Alden was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two runs.
