Baseball Recap: Chaparral Pumas vs. Temecula Valley Golden Bears

Chaparral extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 11-6 in the process. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Temecula Valley Golden Bears. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Golden Bears this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-2 loss on Wednesday.

Chaparral saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austyn Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Temecula Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since March 26th.

On Temecula Valley's side, Taden Krogsgaard was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. Krogsgaard was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Recio, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
