Northeastern had won 12 straight home games dating back to last season and Sam White did his part to make it 13 on Friday. The Northeastern Knights came out on top against the Winchester Community Golden Falcons by a score of 53-42 thanks to White, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 16 rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last 23 games he's played dating back to last season.

Another player making a difference was Noah Payne, who posted eight points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (two).

Despite the defeat, Winchester Community had strong showings from Caleb Hummel, who earned 12 points, and Lucas Tarter, who scored four points and eight boards.

Northeastern's win bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Winchester Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern will welcome Connersville at 7:30 p.m. on February 28th. Connersville has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Winchester Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jay County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Winchester Community is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51 points per game this season.
