Baseball Recap: Olympia Comes Up Short

Olympia came into this matchup off a tough six-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Jupiter Warriors by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Titans have suffered since February 25th.

Kingston Ebanks was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in February.

At the plate, Olympia saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Rathmann, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Olympia now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Jupiter, their victory bumped their record up to 14-6.

Olympia and Jupiter should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Olympia will take on Sunset at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday up 197 places (137 vs. 334). Meanwhile, Jupiter (ranked 36th) will meet Archbishop McCarthy (ranked 176th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
