Recap: Cranfills Gap Lions vs. Gholson
The Cranfills Gap Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 41-33 win over Gholson. This was payback for Cranfills Gap, who suffered a 45-39 defeat the last time these two teams met.
When it comes to explaining why Gholson lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hudson Thomas. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points.
Cranfills Gap's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.5 points per game. As for Gholson, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cranfills Gap will square off against Jonesboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gholson, they will head out on the road to challenge Mount Calm at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
