Soccer Recap: Mallard Creek Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Mallard Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Point Red Raiders. While losing is never fun, Mallard Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 344th, while South Point are ranked 74th).

Mallard Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for South Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-1-2 record this season.
