Centennial can finally bid farewell to their 11-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. In a tight match that could have gone either way, they made off with a 76-75 victory over Beechcroft.
Kal-el Faison and Carl Koonce were among the main playmakers for Centennial as the former scored 22 points and the latter scored 25 points. Anttonyo Alford was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Whetstone, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They took a 75-70 hit to the loss column at the hands of East.
Centennial's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-2. As for Whetstone, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
