Volleyball Recap: Eastmark Takes a Loss

Eastmark lost against ALA - Queen Creek on October 1st and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Firebirds lost 3-0 to the Patriots. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Eastmark was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into ALA - Queen Creek's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-17.

Kaitlynn Barrnett paced Eastmark's offense, picking up seven kills. Barrnett got some help from Kylie Stallings and her 11 assists. McKenna Jackson controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Eastmark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.

Eastmark wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against ALA - Gilbert North on the 22nd. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Combs on the 22nd.
