Baseball Game Preview: Dublin Lions vs. Comanche Indians

The Dublin Lions will square off against the Comanche Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dublin hasn't scored more than a single run for four games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Dublin lost 19-1 to Peaster on Saturday.

Dublin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Rodriguez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Comanche hadn't done well against Early recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Comanche narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Early 11-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Indians considering their one-run performance the contest before.

Cayden Davis and Cooper Welch did most of the damage at the plate: Davis scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Welch scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 3-for-4. What's more, Davis posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gerado Puente, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Dublin's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Comanche, their victory bumped their record up to 3-7.

Dublin couldn't quite get it done against Comanche in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-5. Can Dublin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
