Volleyball Recap: Stuarts Draft Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road + How To Watch

Stuarts Draft not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 8th (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against the Riverheads Gladiators as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Stuarts Draft never let Riverheads on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Chesney Dunlap and Emily Herndon certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Dunlap had eight digs and two aces, while Herndon had nine digs and two assists. Dunlap has been hot recently, having also posted 16 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Stuarts Draft and Riverheads could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 234th) will meet Fort Defiance (ranked third) at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Riverheads will challenge Rockbridge County at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (298 vs. 104).
