Softball Recap: East Robertson Wins Going Away Against Gallatin

East Robertson's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the Gallatin Green Wave 11-5. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 13-3 victory the Green Wave walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2022.

Harlee Ghee made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off 12 hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Those hits marked the first that she got this season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anna Highsmith, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isabella Smith, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5.

East Robertson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

With the win, East Robertson broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-5. As for Gallatin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Coming up, East Robertson will host Todd County Central at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gallatin, they will head out on the road to square off against Beech at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
