Soccer Recap: Granby Comes Up Short

The matchup between Granby and Maury on Friday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Comets fell 5-3 to the Commodores. Granby fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against Maury since on Friday.

Granby hit Maury with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dylan Belcher, Quinn Bebber, and Ruby Hanna.

Granby's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3-3. As for Maury, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Granby does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Maury, they will square off against Norview at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
