Baseball Game Preview: Del Oro Suns vs. East Bakersfield Blades

For the second straight game, Del Oro will face off against East Bakersfield. The Suns are taking a road trip to take on the Blades at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Del Oro has now lost 15 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 1.

Del Oro came up short against East Bakersfield on Tuesday, falling 28-1.

For East Bakersfield's part, SEBASTIAN MENDOZA made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. MENDOZA was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 5-for-5 with five runs, two stolen bases, and four RBI. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March.

In other batting news, East Bakersfield got a massive performance out of NOAH FERGUSON, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three hits gave FERGUSON a new career-high. Another player making a difference was RANDY LENOIR, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

East Bakersfield was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .667. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

East Bakersfield's record now sits at 11-12. As for Del Oro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
