Basketball Game Preview: Bridger/Belfry vs. Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades

Bridger/Belfry will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on the Reed Point/Rapelje Renegades at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Bridger/Belfry knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Reed Point/Rapelje likes a good challenge.

Bridger/Belfry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup last Saturday. They put the hurt on Absarokee with a sharp 56-35 victory. Bridger/Belfry has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Reed Point/Rapelje was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They were dealt a 63-28 loss at the hands of Absarokee. The Renegades were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-14.

Bridger/Belfry will need to focus on slowing down Marshall Ulmer, one of several Reed Point/Rapelje players who made an impact when they last played. He posted 11 points and six rebounds. That was a full 39.3% of Reed Point/Rapelje's points, marking the fourth time in a row Ulmer has scored more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Landen Bryant, who had six points and six boards.

Bridger/Belfry has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.8 points over those games. Reed Point/Rapelje's defeat dropped their record down to 1-16.
