Soccer Recap: Westlake Comes Up Short

Westlake kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell 3-1 to the Walnut Grove Wildcats. Cooper Zavodny was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Westlake wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Lovejoy on the 3rd. Walnut Grove has also already played their next contest, a 7-0 win against Weiss on the 3rd.
