Northeastern extended their home winning streak to six games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Sam White. The Northeastern Knights were the clear victor by a 51-29 margin over the South Adams Starfires on Saturday thanks in part to White, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Those 20 points gave him a new career-high.
The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Scarrette, who posted eight points along with ten assists and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played.
South Adams lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tytus Lehman, who put up nine points and five rebounds. Jax Wanner was another key player, putting up ten points.
Northeastern's record now sits at 4-0. As for South Adams, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Northeastern will look to defend their home court on Friday against Eastern Hancock at 7:30 p.m. Northeastern is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.8 points per game this season. As for South Adams, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-37 defeat against Winchester Community on the 11th.
