Basketball Game Preview: Carroll Cougars vs. Southwood Knights

The Carroll Cougars and the Southwood Knights will face off at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played.

On Friday, Carroll ended up a good deal behind Frontier and lost 63-48.

Southwood hadn't beaten Wabash on the road since December 30, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Knights walked away with a 57-49 win over the Apaches. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Apaches recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Carroll better keep an eye on Bryce Wilcox. He was instrumental in Southwood's win, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 14 boards. Wilcox's big performance that evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Maddox Marshall, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Southwood, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
