Volleyball Game Preview: Clarkston Angoras vs. Loganville Red Devils

The Clarkston Angoras will venture away from home to face off against the Loganville Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Clarkston is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: St. Pius X Catholic, who was ranked 11th at the time (Clarkston was ranked fifth). The Angoras came out on top against the Golden Lions by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Clarkston easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-12.

Meanwhile, Loganville entered their tilt with Morgan County on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs.

Loganville didn't let Morgan County take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23.

Clarkston has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Loganville, they pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
