Softball Recap: Westby Gets the Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Westby ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They skirted past the River Valley Blackhawks 10-9. The victory continues a trend for the Norsemen in their matchups with the Blackhawks: they've now won four in a row.

Westby got a massive performance out of Haidyn Thurin, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave Thurin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Taylor Davidson, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Westby's record is now 8-9. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.

As of now, neither Westby nor River Valley have any future games scheduled.
