Softball Recap: El Rancho Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against California, El Rancho was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Santa Fe Chiefs 5-4. The win continues a trend for the Dons in their matchups with the Chiefs: they've now won four in a row.

Lesly Valdez was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one triple, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Delilah Gonzalez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

El Rancho was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Santa Fe only posted a batting average of .267.

El Rancho's victory bumped their record up to 15-9-1. As for Santa Fe, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-15.
