Recap: Widefield vs. Sand Creek
Widefield put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Sand Creek Scorpions onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory. Widefield's winning goal came courtesy of Autumn Ibarra.
Widefield's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sand Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Widefield will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pueblo East at 5:00 p.m. on April 1st. Pueblo East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Sand Creek, they will head out on the road to face off against Fountain-Fort Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
