Soccer Game Preview: The Classical Academy vs. Mullen

The Classical Academy will take on the Mullen Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

The Classical Academy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Lutheran 3-2.

Meanwhile, Mullen kept a clean sheet against Battle Mountain on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over the Huskies. The result was nothing new for Mullen, who have now won six matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Mullen's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests. As for The Classical Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
