Basketball Game Preview: North Providence Cougars vs. Paul Cuffee

After both having extra time off, the North Providence Cougars and Paul Cuffee will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Two weeks ago, North Providence came up short against Hope and fell 47-38.

Despite their loss, North Providence saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Yamelis Godfrey, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 15 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Makenna Heon, who posted four points along with ten assists and three steals.

Paul Cuffee kicked off their season on the road last Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were beaten by Mt. Pleasant 45-12.
