Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Birmingham's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Birmingham couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 12-7 to the Crenshaw Cougars on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Patriots couldn't push the score so high this time.

Kevin Hawkins threw for 28 yards. Braylen Morgan was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Dallas Jones rushed for 52 yards and one touchdown.

With the defeat, Birmingham broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-4. As for Crenshaw, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-1.

Birmingham does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crenshaw, they will challenge Carson at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Colts' defense has only allowed 13 points per game this season, so the Cougars' offense will have their work cut out for them.
