Burbank has gone a perfect 10-0 against Brackenridge recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Burbank Bulldogs will take on the Brackenridge Eagles at 7:15 p.m. Burbank is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.
Burbank's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Jefferson with a sharp 16-0 win. The Bulldogs have beaten the Mustangs the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Mustangs has come to flipping the script.

Evelyn Lopez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in nine consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI.
In other batting news, Giselle Garcia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Gianina Valdez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.
Burbank always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .769. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Brackenridge is still winless after their game against Edison on Tuesday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 12-10 heartbreaker at the hands of the Golden Bears. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly two runs.
Larissa Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one double. Amber Barajas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Brackenridge's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Burbank, their record now sits at 8-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Burbank has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Brackenridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.2 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Burbank's way against Brackenridge in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Burbank made off with a 23-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Burbank since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
