Soccer Recap: Erie Extends Winning Streak to Five

While Erie's victory against Lewis-Palmer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers skirted past the Rangers 2-1. Given Erie's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 12th, while Lewis-Palmer are ranked 172nd) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lennon Green and Nathan Bigard scored both of Erie's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

The win keeps Erie at an undefeated 6-0-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Lewis-Palmer, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Erie will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Centaurus at 6:00 p.m. As for Lewis-Palmer, they will head out to challenge Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lewis-Palmer are facing Skyline at the right time seeing as Skyline are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
