Basketball Recap: South Oldham Triumphs

South Oldham saw some tournament action on Monday. They came out on top against the Martin County Cardinals by a score of 72-63. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Martin County lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Braxton Keathley, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. That was a full 34.9% of Martin County's points, marking the sixth time in a row Keathley has posted more than a third of the team's points. Bryson Dials was another key player, putting up 16 points and six assists.

South Oldham's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Martin County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.

Coming up, South Oldham will venture away from home to square off against Walton-Verona at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2026. Martin County and Hamilton Heights Christian Academy will round out the year against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will need to watch out since the Hawks have now posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
