Basketball Game Preview: Christian County Colonels vs. Crittenden County Rockets

The Christian County Colonels will take on the Crittenden County Rockets on Friday. Christian County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 matchups -- so hopefully Crittenden County likes a good challenge.

Christian County saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They took down Madisonville-North Hopkins 70-51. The Colonels haven't had any issues with the Maroons recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lazarie Daniel, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Daniel a new career-high in field goal percentage (88%). Another player making a difference was Anaysia Bagwell, who posted 23 points.

Christian County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Crittenden County was able to grind out a solid victory over Union County on Tuesday, taking the game 46-39.

Christian County's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points over those games. As for Crittenden County, their victory bumped their record up to 19-7.

Christian County beat Crittenden County 56-49 in their previous meeting back in February. Will Christian County repeat their success, or does Crittenden County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
