Volleyball Recap: Cypress Woods Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Cypress Woods took on Klein Oak on Saturday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Klein Oak was led to victory by Samantha Kuehnle and Ava Edmonds. Kuehnle had 15 assists and six digs, while Edmonds had seven digs. That's the most digs Edmonds has posted over her last 17 matchups.

Cypress Woods' defeat dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Klein Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Cypress Woods didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Waller on the 23rd. As for Klein Oak, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Barbers Hill on the 23rd.
